FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions about CNC Machining

What is CNC machining?

CNC machining is a computer-controlled manufacturing process where material is removed by rotating tools (milling) or rotating workpieces (turning). CNC stands for "Computerized Numerical Control", the machine is controlled by digital programs, enabling the highest precision and repeatability.

What materials can be CNC machined?

We machine aluminium (AlMg3, EN AW-6082, EN AW-7075), steel (S235, S355, C45, 42CrMo4), stainless steel (1.4301, 1.4404), brass, copper, titanium as well as engineering plastics such as POM, PEEK and PA/Nylon.

How much does CNC machining cost?

The price depends on material, complexity, tolerances and batch size. We provide a binding and individual quotation within 24 to 48 hours.

How long does manufacturing take?

We manufacture quickly and on schedule. Express manufacturing is available on request. Series orders are delivered on schedule according to the agreed delivery plan.

What is the difference between milling and turning?

In milling, the tool rotates and the workpiece is stationary, ideal for prismatic parts like housings and plates. In turning, the workpiece rotates and the tool is stationary, ideal for rotationally symmetric parts like shafts and bushings.
