CNC Flanges
Weld neck flanges, blind flanges and custom flanges, precision turned with exact bolt circles, fitted bores and faced surfaces to DIN EN 1092.
CNC flanges to DIN, ANSI or your own drawing: turning and milling in one setup. Bolt pattern, sealing face and spigot in IT6 quality, from 50 pieces up to medium series.
Bolt circles on the money
The bolt circle is the heart of every flange. We machine bolt circles with driven tools directly on the lathe: holes, counterbores and threads in a single setup.
The Y axis and C axis of our DMG MORI NLX 2000 let us position holes on the bolt circle to within ±0.02 mm. No transfer to a milling machine required.
The complete profile from one setup
Flange disc and welding neck are turned in one pass. The spigot bore (H7) references the bolt circle exactly, so there are no re-clamping errors.
Sealing faces are finish turned to Ra 1.6 for reliable sealing. On request we supply flanges with a surface finish suited to NBR and FKM gaskets.
What we produce
Weld neck flanges
With a long welding neck for welding into pipework. Facing and bore in one setup. To DIN EN 1092-1.
Blind flanges
For closing off pipe ends and vessel openings. Solid disc with bolt circle, no through bore.
Loose flanges
Flange with a separate collar for easy alignment during assembly. Ideal for stainless pipework with a steel backing ring.
Custom flanges
Non-standard flanges to your drawing. Special bolt circles, unusual sealing faces, adapters between different standards.
Flanges to DIN & EN
We produce flanges to all common standards, and of course non-standard flanges to your own drawing.
Frequently asked questions
On the NLX 2000 we turn flanges up to Ø250 mm. For larger diameters we mill the flange disc on our Ecomill 70 machining centre using indexed 5-axis positioning. Holes and bolt circles are produced in the same setup.
Yes. Driven tools and the C axis let us position holes precisely on the bolt circle. Up to 8 holes on one circle is standard. That saves the transfer to a milling machine.
Most commonly S235JR and P250GH (elevated temperature) for standard flanges, 1.4301 and 1.4571 for stainless flanges. Aluminium, brass and special materials to drawing as well.
The price depends on diameter, material and quantity. At higher quantities the unit price drops considerably. Stainless is more expensive both in material and in machining time.
We produce all common sealing faces: form B (raised face), form C (tongue and groove), form D (male and female). Sealing face roughness is finish turned to Ra 1.6 or Ra 3.2.
Yes. For non-round flanges (rectangular, oval) or flanges above Ø250 mm we use our CNC milling machine. Round flanges are more economical on the lathe.
