Medium Volume Production
500 to 5,000 pieces — fully automated CNC manufacturing with bar feeder and lights-out production. Consignment stock available.
Traub TNL 32
Our Traub TNL 32 CNC Swiss-type lathe with integrated bar feeder is the ideal machine for medium volume runs. It processes bar stock up to Ø 32 mm fully automatically — including lights-out operation overnight and on weekends.
With automatic bar feeding, manual reloading is eliminated. The machine produces part after part with identical quality, minimal idle times and maximum spindle utilization.
Why Medium Volume with us?
Bar Feeder
Automatic material feeding for uninterrupted production. Bars up to 3 m long, over 100 parts per bar without operator intervention.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1At what quantity does a medium volume run pay off?
From approx. 500 pieces, full automation with bar feeder becomes particularly worthwhile. Setup costs per part become marginal, and lights-out production reduces unit costs by an additional 30–40% compared to small batches.
Q2What is consignment stock?
Consignment stock is inventory held at our facility that you call off as needed. The parts belong to you, but you only pay upon withdrawal. This reduces your warehousing costs and guarantees immediate availability without minimum order per call-off.
Q3How do blanket orders work?
We agree on fixed unit prices and planned call-off quantities over a defined period (usually 6–12 months). You benefit from price stability and priority production. We plan material and capacity in advance.
